Turning synth samples (E mu emulator ) into a synth in logic . Is it possible

I recently saw a load of E mu (not Rod hulls pet) samples for sale on Etsy . Seeing as how it had a great sound I was curious if the samples could be loaded into Logic  by Sampler  then you could play 
as though it were the original instrument . 

I’ve mainly seen videos of this being used to add sampled drums . There is one video on a moog that had been sampled but I found it a bit confusing at first .

is this possible or would it sound choppy and unlike the original . Just curious . I already have Dexed and Tal u no x  Juno plug-in  so I’m quite ok for 80s stuff . But the e u had some interesting sounds

Ive done this kinda thing in kontakt before. Obv theres a limit to how far you can pitch samples though ebfore it sounds silly
