Vinyl dye for covered back of a guitar

I have a Hagstrommy type thing that has a ply body covered in vinyl wrap which I'd now like to make black. Any recommendations for something that wont transfer colour to my clothes later on?

You can get stuff called "vinylkote" that does a pretty good job of changing the colour of car seats.  I think it's more like paint than dye, but it certainly doesn't rub off (i.e. you can sit on it)

In theory but its so well done already and quite tough and stiff with age that it'd be hard to do better. Most new vinyl seems softer and squooshier or ugly.
