I'm not sure if I'm storing up pain for the future, but I've fitted some schaller ebony buttons to my prs s2 which has "low mass" lockers. There was a fair bit of play compared to the stock buttons but I got them on and tight providing I used the prs screws. I've noticed the action on the tuners not as smooth and double checked the bushings are in place. So... are schaller style button compatible with PRS or am I trying to do something that I should not? Maybe the screws need a bit of lubricating and are catching on the new buttons?

PRS S2 hardware has been mostly made in Asian factories such as Ping Well. Hence, the screw reach issues.
