2 x P90s - 1 vol, 1 tone. Capacitor and pot values?

I have a PRS SE with 2 Oil City P90s in it. 1 volume, 1 tone.

One of my pots has gone bad. Mechanically, I mean, rather than mysteriously losing "mojo".

Anyway, since I am going to be in there replacing the pot, I wondered what people preferred for values? I'm fairly sure it's 500k pots and a 0.022 cap in there at the moment.

I like the sound of the guitar at the moment, but don't love the taper of the tone pot, if I'm honest. It's either very subtle, or mud.

A500k pots but better quality than the stock Asian ones. (This may require the enlargement of the holes in the front of your guitar.)

If the OCP P90s have two-conductor + shield output cable, you could have phase reversal via a push-pull pot. (Not sure how much use out-of-phase would be.) Series/parallel interconnection is also possible but this usually sounds muddy.

If the OCP P90s sound loud and dark, you could have a push-pull pot activate a Bass Cut switch à la Fender Jaguar.

The pickups don't sound especially dark. It's more just that the tone control taper is very on or off.

Holes are already enlarged so I can fit imperial size pots in there if I need to.

500 works better than 250 for my P90s

I used DiMarzio Pro Parts "custom taper" A500k pots in my single cutaway PRS SE Soapbar with Fralin P90s.

I don't bother with treble bypass. I just use a pile of gain.

I like 500k and 22nF on mine, I think.
