Anybody got a cheap p-bass pickup they'll sell me?

What's Hot
I posted a wanted in bass classifieds, but thought this might be a better place to ask this...
Has anybody got a cheap p-bass pickup (left over from an upgrade?) going spare? Or one with a dead coil so I can make a frankenstein out of the two (the good coil in mine measures about 4.5k ohm if that helps)?

The story is that my daughter has rescued a bass from school that was going to get binned, and it's really not bad at all apart from being filthy and the electrics had all been bodged and yanked about.  The only thing that's not easily fixable is one of the wires has snapped off one coil of the pickup, so a cheap pickup would make it a useable bass again.
I think it's one of the Sue Rider branded instruments ("R" cut into the pickguard), so presumably very cheap, but it looks to be proper wood body rather than ply and the neck is decent-looking under the layers of gunk. As good as Squires and the like that I've seen, but I don't want to throw much money at it if possible.

I probably have something in a drawer.

TBH, 4.5k is a bit weedy. 2 x 5.5k is the classic formula.

Would the stock MIJ pickup from a Silver Series Squier suffice?
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.
