What are the rules of this game?
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

Is it wrong that I've become very interested in Phil Millers work since I watched "Unattainable" (earlier today)? I'm currently listening to his output from 2017 and it's pretty fascinating to hear the progression in parts of his music and image, and the continuities. He certainly has a message and a very specific style that he doesn't want to compromise. I'm into it, certainly the music and vocals and definitely the monosynth used as a a basis for confessional soulpop. The songs could be a minute or two shorter and the lyrics don't resonate with me, but it's not written for me.
Ten years too late and still getting it wrong
