Hi all,

We have just taken delivery of the Electroswitch (owners of CRL and Oak Grigsby brands switches) JT-2020 3 way toggle switch.

It is a full sized toggle switch designed as a compact alternative to Switchraft and is used by Gibson and PRS, although currently only in limited models.

  • On-On-On toggle
  • Less space
  • Less noise
  • Smooth, silent action
  • Sturdier, noiseless toggle switch

I have to say, the action is really nice and as it's in it's casing, far less likely to fail in the way standard toggle switches do with the leaves bending out of place.

Thought it would be useful to know as I hear/read enough from people complaining that Switchcraft toggles are easily damaged.

Looks good, especially for those tight installations like on a semi.

    What's the thread length like?

@WezV thread length is huge, 11mm - they supply two nuts for height adjustment.

    Tidy.

    Do they offer a 4P3T on/on/on version?

That will indeed be handy for good quality Les Paul copies that only have the toggle switch cavity bored wide enough for the cheap silver metal enclosed toggle switches but not wide enough for the traditional open frame switch after cables have been soldered to it.

I think MusicMan used to use those as well, not sure if they still do.

I think they use a Dimarzio, maybe? Though maybe it's just that one rebranded! (Also they use a small PCB attached to it as well... maybe it makes it easier to wire it up in the factory environment, but it didn't make it any easier for me to wire it up!)

Petrucci signature model guitars use a DiMarzio EP1111 4P3T on/on/on switch to automate the coil splittage when both pickups are selected. (Inside coils, noise-cancelling.)
