Get that no trem is a deal-breaker for lots of people, but there's not a regular-production US Strat I'd rather have than the Mexi Cray. Lovely thing.

Weirdly these are the only two MIM Fenders I've ever owned!  A white Jimmie Vaughan and a sunburst Robert Cray.  Both excellent guitars.

    Good luck with the sales!

Thanks @Philly_Q.  I’ve got a Brad Paisley MIM, too.  Really impressed with it.  I’m just clearing things out at the moment.  Really not sure why.  I think I’m looking forward to a shopping spree when I’m in funds.

@Treewig1 The Brad Paisley was another one I considered buying.  There's just something about those MIM signature models!  Nothing to do with the actual artists, I think it's the particular features of those guitars, at the right price.

Nothing wrong with having a clear out, I've been meaning to for years but I never seem to have the time.

Never had the Vaughan, but the Cray model is really really good. Superb neck shape, which I understand was copied from his original. One of the most vintage feeling Strats I've owned and a lot of guitar for the cash. Pickups are excellent too

Just out of interest, did you sell the Robert Cray to the bloke who runs Vibrocaster in Malton?

Just being nosey - he had one up for sale for another 50%.  I actually sold him one of my Strats and he put it up for another 50% although he did tell me he was a dealer.
