Really nice guitar. Blurb taken from my ebay listing:

Rare 2007 Guild USA D-40 Tacoma USA Richie Havens signature dreadnought acoustic guitar. In very good cosmetic and perfect playing condition.

Tight grained solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. Dot markers and rare sunburst finish gives it a very classy, vintage look without being too ostentatious (just right in my opinion!).

Straight, medium neck with no significant fret wear. 37mm between the centre of the top and bottom E strings at the nut. 55mm at the saddle. There are a couple of small marks in the finish on the back of the neck and a but of swirling in some parts of the finish, but nothing significant. All binding completely intact as you'd expect.

Set up with new light gauge strings with low to medium action, but there's plenty of room to adjust the action further in the future. When I fitted the new strings, I refitted the original bridge pins in place of the brass pins featured in a couple of the photos. The top is nice and flat with no bellying. There's lots of saddle left so it can can be lowered as required.

A superb all-rounder of a USA-built guitar with a lovely, balanced sound. Sounds great strummed or picked, played softly or loudly.

Original Guild HSC. All latches and hinges work perfectly. The only minor issue is that one side of the ribbon that prevents the lid from opening fully became detached a couple of years ago - no biggie.
I'm the second owner and have owned it since around 2009. It has been looked after really well, played only occasionally and never gigged (I have another guitar, more beat up than this one, that is my gigging guitar).

I like most Guild guitars, but some people rate the Tacoma-built guitars as being among the best the company has ever made. I'm inclined to agree - both of my Guilds from the modern era were made at that the Tacoma plant.

Collection preferred from Gloucestershire, or can ship fully insured for approx £40.

Would consider a trade or part exchange for a USA Starfire III with mini-humbuckers or an F50.

Thank you!
