I am selling my Gibson ES-330 1964 Historic Reissue which is one of a limited run of 150 guitars produced by Gibson Memphis in 2015. It's a stunning example and it sounds and plays beautifully.

The guitar is in excellent condition with only one small scratch in the headstock where the previous owner caught it with a string while re-stringing.

The full spec is available on the Gibson Legacy site here but of note are the short horns, nickel cover P90s, nylon saddle 'no wire' ABR bridge and a gorgeous neck profile which I think is the perfect happy medium falling somewhere inbetween a 50s and early 60s Gibson profile. It comes with its period-correct hardcase and COA etc.

I have listed this on Reverb too but at a higher price to offset fees and leave some room for negotiation. Taking into account other 330s that have been listed and this being a limited run, I'm asking for £3,000 firm, collected from Gateshead.

If collection really isn't an option, message me and I'll see if we can work something out but I don't have a suitable box at the moment.

Trades: I'm looking for a Les Paul Special, either a recent USA SC with wrap bridge or a Custom Shop SC or DC with cash my way depending on the model. I'm looking to take at least £1k cash from the trade. You might be able to tempt me with a P90 goldtop or a Les Paul Deluxe too...

Any questions or extra photos, just drop me a message. Cheers!

Bump - couple of nibbles but no bites. Turns out being this far north is proving challenging... I drive though and if someone is really keen, I'm happy to drive it to you or meet halfway.

It's a lovely guitar. Is that the one that bought a couple of years ago? I know you hunted far and wide for the right one!

@DB1, yes that's the one, ha! I recently bought a vintage Guild Starfire V which I've always wanted and never had the right one come up at the right time. There are few guitars that could have pushed this out but despite the obvious differences they cover similar ground for me. Someone's going to love it.

I remember - maybe about September time? I think me and Mrs DB1 had gone up to the Lake District for a few days and I think you messaged me to say that you'd found one (in Lancashire?). My wife said 'who are you messaging now?' I had to explain that it was about an ES-330, so it was quite important.

Luckily, she understood. At least I think so.

As far as geography is concerned, if you have to spend a few hours in the car to get something that you're going to spend months or years (or hours, in my case) with, it's time and distance well invested, I reckon.

You have a fine memory (for ES-330s at the very least) it was Lancashire! Accrington in fact. I'd never been before or since but well worth the road trip and it was particularly liberating at the time as I think we'd not long been out of lockdown. This guitar has confirmed for me how much I like P90s, hence the Les Paul Special interest.

I see that you've not long sold an ES-330 but should you get the itch for a different one, do let me know  ;)

Ha, yes, I can remember guitars, places, times, etc like The Memory Man. I forget his name now. I can't remember what I had for breakfast unless I look down at my shirt front.

If I was after another ES-330 at the moment, this would be it. I'm more in a sales mode, but somehow the amount of guitars in the rack keeps increasing.
    Call me Dave.
