I know there are a few Fretboarders who are Blue Nile fans.

The great news is that after many years of silence, PJ Moore - whose keyboards so much defined their sound - is releasing new music.

The album can be preordered here:

The bar set by the back-catalogue is probably a tad high to be fair. I’m glad he’s making music again - I think he’s very much the unsung hero of their albums.

I've only just realised that Paul Buchanan played guitar on the albums...so many low-key iconic hooks!

Anyway, that's (obviously) what I'm missing here: a rough edged voice and guitar to match ;)

I like the track. It's not The Blue Nile, but you can hear the heritage. I've often wondered how they made a living all this time.

  • Quick bump for this, as the album was released on 22nd September.

The album is much more Blue Nile-like than the lead track might suggest. In many ways, it’s probably a more deserving follow-up to A Walk Across The Rooftops and Hats, than Peace At Last or High - and more interesting/varied than Paul Buchanan’s ‘Mid Air’.
