FS - 1960 Gibson ES-125 - £2,300 SOLD

Great condition Gibson ES125 from 1960. 

This is the deeper body version, not the thinline. All original except for a modern day hard case. Lots of lovely lacquer checking. 

Has a mark on the lacquer in the top right hand bout and the bottom strap button has sheared off.

It was actually seeing Thom Yorke with one years ago that piqued my interest in them. I then got one and it’s been a slippery slope into a vintage guitar rabbit hole since then!

Sounds great… if I hadn’t just paid a small fortune for a vintage Jazzmaster I’d be all over it.

I thought it he etiquette was to negotiate the price once you were in a position to buy immediately!

They're fabulous guitars, and this should be sold by now. It looks superb.

Yes Dave, these are great. One of my favourite sounds I recorded was with a 125 through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

Heading to a wedding in Newcastle later this week and the 125 can travel with me if anyone up that way wants it. 

I’ll be travelling from south London to Gateshead after work Thursday and travelling back (Gateshead to South London) Sunday evening so also the potential to drop it enroute if any interest.
