Thank you gents. This amp is lovely. I was playing one of his tweed Twins a couple of weeks ago and that was a monster. Ridiculously loud but what a sound!

Is that Martins voice on the clips? Being a proud owner of a Bluesman,
tell us more about the amp please.

    Thanks Rick.
The amp is simply stunning, I haven’t had long playing with it as only picked it up last week and have been away for a few days. First impressions are that this is just the absolute business, majestic.
I’ll be back with a full update.
If anyone fancies a go and is in the North west then I’m happy to set that up.

That sounds GREAT Rick! Lovely playing, reminds me of PJ Wright and Bob Wilson of the Steve Gibbons band.

You are most kind. The Dylan band I play in ought to do Gibbons' version of Watching the river flow.

It's based on the 6G3, so uses 2 x 6V6 output valves and delivers 20 watts. The cabinet for this amp has a Celestion Greenback, which is a great speaker in this combination.

Martin installed power scaling on this amp for me and it works absolutely brilliantly at lower volumes. Mind blown!!

Sounds good. I had a Suhr Hombre for a few days that’s based on the 6G3 I think; I found it to have quite a stiff feel to play and I found the single tone control a little bit limiting, I’d have liked a bit more bass and treble from it. Plus of course no master and - for my tastes - a very narrow sweet spot on the volume for getting the level of gain I’d want. I returned it but a version of that amp with power scaling and a different speaker might work much better.

I have a 6G3 amp here, the amp has loads of bass, that's part of why the heavy distortion sounds are a bit farty. so the speaker and cab in the Hombre might be trimming the bass.
Its not an amp for those that like bright amps either, you can easily crank the tone control.
All that can be sorted with some minor mods that Martin could do if you wanted the amp tweaked a bit
