    Holland Dozier Holland are the most under-rated of the great old school rock/pop songwriters IMO.  With Lennon/McCartney, Jagger/Richards, Paul Simon, Burt Bacharach/Brian Wilson/Joni Mitchell/Dylan etc etc the people who love the music mostly know who wrote it.  Not so much with HDH.

    HDH were every bit the equal to Lennon/McCartney as the premier songwriters of the sixties, imo. Bacharach was a towering figure, Dylan was something else entirely. I will be listening to the Four Tops tonight. RIP.
