This Matamp looks very similar on the panel, but is a 1x12". Nearly twice the price too!

so with the footswitching master volume  - what does that do?  can you set it up as a boost?  Does it come with a footswitch and if not what footswitch works with it?

The only thing footswitchable is the reverb. An Ashdown branded latchswitch is included and has never been used.

is it an easy amp to use? ie can you go dial in a nice clean sound and then go to a nice crunch or drive sound fairly easilty without having to piss about with lots of controls?  is it very sensitive ie the tone knobs are very reactive to a little movement?

I'd say so, yeah. The Variable Class A and A/B knob dials in a variance. The four band EQ has the magical 'Prescence' Control that many amps miss. Then you have a Triode / Pentode option. The sound gets thinner the more you reduce the wattage on the attenuator, but i've never had a problem beefing it back up again with the EQ. The Master Volume / Gain combination means you need to play at first to work out what suits your uncoloured tone, but its all there and it takes pedals really well.

I think you'd do better with some sound clips.  Because there are two amps on the Embrace vid, it's difficult to know what it sounds like.

Also you might have put location but I can't see it offhand.

It actually sounds awesome, but using an iPad to record straight isn't ideal. Will see if I have a live clip where it's properly cranked!
