Entirely using original film, this is really a two parter ;

First part on the origin and growth of CCR, (narrated by Jeff Bridges, ‘The Dude’) 

Leading into … hallelujah.. the entirely uninterrupted  1970 gig at the Royal Albert Hall.

guitar tone to yearn for too.

Finally, it's a great example of the old days, filling a venue ( volume wise) by the back line onstage.

I really need to get onto watching some of these. But it does feel like after Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman that every band/artist has either a docu-film or a documentary/concert film coming out… Though hard to imagine how they can top Bohemian Rhapsody. I thought that was excellent.

Yes, I nearly bought it , but opted instead for the CD and single vinyl album at 33rpm

(at least, I hope this one is 33rpm ; the deluxe set has the vinyl album as a double, at 45rpm)

Oooo ya just watched this. Keep on Chooglin was always my fav live track of  theirs to listen to on a long walk home  and just so rippin. John's voice is amazing in this he seems to push that mic pre/board into saturation. 

Love that Ric with the humbucker and always fantasied  a  Kustom amp stack and they sound fantastic in this. John seems to have that stack behind him  and then  the   mega stack to the left of him. That front row must have got  obliterated. Is that  a soubke wide kustom PA stack? Ooo and those Sunn bass cabs are  woppers.

Saw this the other day. 
How on earth did Forgerty get such a great tone out of solid state?
Sounds fantastic.

Watching the first half - I got the distinct feeling that it was very much Fogerty's way or the highway. He really drove the band. 

Nearest modern day equivalent? Kings of Leon?
