  • Long time SLF fan (saw them on their 1st UK tour and many times since) here too so colour me interested.

    Still uses Yammy SGs too, which I love.

    Jake is mutton these days as friend who is a pro sound dude said had 3 or 4 800 W wedges in a horse shoe around him on full bore.

    He also said that the onstage sound near him was eardrum shatteringly loud and yet he still wanted more.

    I saw SLF at Friars in Aylesbury, either 1980 or 1981 (I saw Echo and the Bunnymen there around the same time)

    . . . the thing I recall the most from that gig was Jake Burns explaining at great length to the crowd why they had realised that Suspect Device had no relevance to them at that time, and why, despite the audience requests, they wouldn't be playing it live again.

     and then once they started to play it, my amusement at how long the audience took to realise what had happened :)
