Mine today wouldn't. I don't believe that, unless you put pressure on it, like you mean it. Lucky to get it through a foot of willow and birch. No problem with chainsaw safety, trees falling on my head, another matter.
The guy in the video was trying to be clever, much safer with a tall ladder and a mate with a rope and maybe a 4x4.
The older models were much more dangerous as they didn't have a chain break eh.
