Traded - 1979 Gibson Les Paul Pro Deluxe - P90s

So some of you may recognise this from Welshboyos previous listing, I took it in trade as I fancied a try and it's a great guitar. Thing is I have a Les Paul Standard that I have a lot of sentimental attachment to, and this isn't far from that ballpark even with the P90s. So it's straight back out the door despite the fact that it looks amazing! (It sounds great too btw!)

As in the original listing it's in very well played condition, all of the wear and relic'ing is genuine play wear. It has nicks and knocks, nitro wear, and signs of it being played pretty much religiously which is usually a good sign!

It's a typical late 70s Les Paul, solid mahogany back, 3 piece maple top, 3 piece maple neck with volute (lots of wear through to the wood on this, it's as smooth as silk), and it weighs a fair bit (10.3lbs on my scales). The differences are the ebony fretboard which is lovely, and the P90s which make it a little bit of a break from the norm, Marc Ford played an ebony one in the Crowes. According to Welshboyo it was previously owned by a session guitarist from the Bristol area who did some miles on it.

The neck may have been refretted but they are typical of the era and the nibs are intact, slight fretwear but it plays well too. The pots are all original, however the switchcraft switch has been replaced as has the bridge pickup (originals are in the case). The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan stacked noiseless P90, which sounds good, and is definitely quieter than the neck pickup (noise wise!). The control cavity and switch covers are replacements I think, and have the sticker of an Aussie tech on and it also has a replacement scratchplate from Allparts.

Comes with its original case (not a chainsaw) which is fully functional except for a broken clasp.

Traded

I need cash over trades and I'm looking for £2.1k, I can ship at cost to you but ideally would prefer to meet up and do the deal as it's better than risking the courier's!!

Out of interest roughly where are you in the country? I bet you're hundreds of miles from me, which happens every time I find something I like.

Sorry I've missed these notifications in a raft of others!! (The 54 LP Junior one :) ). I'm away at the moment so can't measure it exactly, but it's not a million miles away from my 99 Standard which is a 59 neck profile. It's slightly more D than the Standard but similar in dimensions. I'll measure it when I'm home tomorrow, thanks!

Cheers, sorry it's not, if it's any consolation 79 isn't my year either ;)

Unfortunately I'm rarely up there but Darlo or Boro is usually as far north as I go. Happy to ship at your risk/cost but understand if that's not a goer.

Here you go @lovestrat74 sorry for the delay!

    Nut width 1.686

    1st fret depth 0.835

    12 fret width 2.05 & depth 0.995

Hope that helps, pretty chunky in contrast to the supposed internet info! I'd argue it's C shaped with a touch more shoulder making it somewhere between a C and D.
