A friend of the family plays bass. His wife wants to get him a preset, but he’s already got a lot of gear (he’s quite wealthy).
Been asked for gift suggestions, though maybe a wireless system.
What do you recommend?
i don’t think he gigs anymore, just home playing.
I have one of these, which I’m happy with, but expect the batteries to fail soon. LEKATO 5.8GHz Guitar Wireless Guitar Transmitter Receiver Wireless Guitar System Rechargeable Digital Audio Guitar Bass System with Strong Anti-Interference Ability High Frequency for Guitars Bass

So what would you recommend? The G10?
Or maybe something else, wireless Yamaha THR bass amp?
Thoughts? Recommendations?
Cheers

For playing at home the concern of the batteries going flat in the middle of a gig is not an issue. If your friend intends to play live, either charge it before each gig (as I do) or get a battery powered system such as the Line6 wireless systems so that fresh batteries can be installed before each gig.
It's an excellent unit.

I think the issue can be use in an electrocomplex environment with some systems but, in a domestic environment, this works well with a tone on an archtop which I like.
I'm highly tempted by the Shure and Sennheiser ones that could replace a tuner.
I've got a L6 G70 and I've been really pleased with it, but the receiver is heavy and quite large.
Anything to give more pedalboard room is a good thing!

I might have to move to a Nano+ but ideally I'd want another 2-3 inches. But the Max is too big.
I might be able to solve the problem if I spend more money on a new Microthumpinator - the V2 has the sockets on each end and can be mounted under a Nano board. I have a V1 and the sockets are on the sides and it just won't fit.
The Nano+ might be just ok then.

It's ok as a home board, but when loaded it's too heavy for me to want to carry it around the place anymore.
I might clean it up and sell it. In the house I almost always use my Helix rather than anything else.
