Point of order: I'm a few songs in, and so far there have been no pre-song introductions, let alone rambling stories that go on for considerably longer than the actual song.

I therefore question the categorisation of 'folk'.

Apart from the EastEnders connection I thought I recognised the name, Maddy Pryor's daughter. They did some kind of metal album together I think. Maddy's roots are in blues and rock despite becoming one of the UK's best known folk singers.

Rose used to be in a relationship with my old housemate. 20 odd years ago now but she was round my house loads in those days.

It's a bit Pentangle, a bit Dopesmoker  - It's quite nice to hear a bit less gain on the guitar. I dunno how else to describe it beyond Doom Folk. She looks like she's having a hoot. The Bassist's unorthodox stance keeps him away from the higher resisters and stops any acrobatics before they start. Extra marks for being a power trio, the best line up. I will give it a cautious 1.5 thumbs up. I like it, despite myself.

Hmmm.  Not really my cup of tea.  I'm sure she and the band are probably right up at the top of the Doom Folk genre, but I couldn't help wondering whether Kate Bush and Ozzy Osbourne had ever had a secret child.

Have actually put this on now, sort of mid 1980s goth. Good for a playlist with Bauhaus, The Leather Nun and Gaye Bykers on Acid. 

MrsTheWeary hated it so also one to remember for when she’s annoyed me.
