Identify a song from very dubious descriptions…

What's Hot

My brother is trying to remember a song from about 25 ears ago:

“Hey, music question - name the song, you used to listen to it.
Starts with cartoon voices sounding like seven dwarfs ‘diedeediedohdiedeedeedeediedoh’ and then the voices get killed by some really thrashy guitars”

and

“Nah, it’s not that one. There’s no talking bit, just squeaky voices singing die dee die doh etc and then thrashy guitars and the Smurf voices scream like they’re dying”

Anyone got an idea?

I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd

As for "when am I ready?"  You'll never be ready.  It works in reverse, you become ready by doing it.  - pmbomb

Not sure that's what I'd consider to be "really thrashy guitars" but the rest of the description fits the bill

  • Also it's quite a bit older than 25 years, but it straight away popped into my head on mention of 'diedeediedohdiedeedeedeediedoh'.

  • I was going to suggest Fast as a Shark but I didn't think it quite fitted. But hey maybe it does.

Fast as a Shark by Accept.

    Bingo and a free sausage to @Reverend ;

    Accept.

As it happens we worked this out late last night too. If he had mentioned Germans and sort of yodelling / folk music then I would have got it straight away.

I loved them in the 80s. I still play "Objection Over-ruled" sometimes.

    Has to be Udo though!

@fretmeister   just how many ears does your brother go through ?
I'm still stuck with my original fucked up ones & could use some replacements.

I used to work in a record shop. People would get quite annoyed if you didn't recognise what they want from either a terrible description, or them actually trying to hum or sing it.

Way more people are tone deaf than they realise.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to
