Are the lockdowns responsible an uptick in good music?

I've been listening to stuff lately that's as good as anything in my collection, whereas pre-pandemic I didn't find the latest music scene all that interesting, with standout albums being pretty rare.

My theory is that due to the circumstances many musicians immersed themselves in the music creation process, with an introspective mindset.

I think there’s something to that. I recorded two albums in that time. There wasn’t much else to do!
