The new demo with Dave Pajo using it has got me gassing for one as well 

Tempted by a clone at least (which I think is fair enough, as you say, it's three already common circuits anyway...), but the flexi-switching on the octave is pretty cool...

That does look great, LED clipping option has my interest as I prefer the Turbo Rat.

The originals are cool but you’d have to make them a centrepiece of your board owing to the size

I get a similar effect stacking a rat with a booster and green ringer clone. it's quite convenient though having everything in one enclosure.

I've got a PCB for the rat and green ringer stages here. I want to do a cap blend to fatten it up and experiment with diodes a bit. Just need to get around to it. Might do a batch of them with my tweaks if it works out

As did I. He’s upgrading the electrolytics in mine from 16 to 25v so I can try it at 18v.

Edit: sod it, I've ordered one.

Two Rats is where it's at, for me anyway. One doing the always on tightening up the low end - the other for normal Rat purposes.

Yes mate. If it want it, get it. The Carcosa there too I think the DOD Digitech stuff might be due a price hike
