    I don't know very much about him or his work, but I did see and enjoy Batman: Mask of the Phantasm when it was released (in 1993, that's gone by quickly).  I think it was the first feature-length film where he voiced the role?  I know he was very highly regarded for his work.

    I'd never seen a picture of him until very recently, I thought he didn't look well but didn't realise he was suffering from cancer.  RIP.

    Sad news indeed. The animated series is an absolute classic; if you’ve not watched it you really should. The artwork is stunning, the stories richly woven and the characters are complex and perfectly voiced. Mark Hammil’s The Joker rightly won awards and critical praise but every character is a mini masterpiece
