Kemper doing cleans

So @Koneguitarist trolled me recently saying I was using too much gain. ;)

So here is a clip of the Kemper doing cleans. Amp model was a profile of my Diezel D-Moll on the clean channel with the volume at noon and gain at noon. It starts off quite clean, allowing you to dig in with some notes, and I go through a few different sections where I lower and increase the gain on the Kemper. Some bridge pickup action at some points too.

  • You call THAT clean? There really is no saving you, is there?
    :P

Sounds pretty good, though. Maybe the break up's a little harsh to my ears but that could be as much to do with taste as digitalness.

First 10 seconds are as clean as I ever get :P

It's all one profile, so kinda shows how dynamic it can get.

I too would like to hear a really good clean, think SuperReverb on 4, picked lightly. Or Two Rock MS Sig,

Ahhh c'mon you sods... bluesy types are always after breakup cleans, not crystal cleans, which is why I went in this direction. Of course it can do pure cleans if that's what you want too.

Wasn't trolling, just that when there is a load of distortion on, and it's recorded it could be any guitar and any amp, don't think anyone can tell.
When it's clean without effects, you can get a sense of the different qualities coming through.
Would genuinely like to hear some twin reverb patches and stuff like that.
As it's like this  what was it done on ? Not that you probably care about tune anyway
    ;)

  • Clean trolling, lol.  Sounds pretty good actually.

Is this the Duncan Distortions in the LP?

Yup. The SH-6 matched pair. I really prefer them to the Bareknuckles I used to have. They have more grit in the highs and less flub in the lows.
