I have this lovely, very 'vibey' 1956 jnr with the coolest aged look to it. It has had a partial headstock break before, on one wing, but is very solid. The tuners are showing their age and a little wonky. The frets are ok but depending on preference could need doing soon or in a little time. The pickup is great, really great early p90 sound. It has the large neck of the era - large, but comfortable. lots of wear, checking and this interesting fish symbol in the paint - maybe a church guitar?

New price 27/11/22 £7,995

£8,495 - collected or meet within a couple hours of west London if possible. Also happy to do a video call with the guitar if anyone wants

Fretfinder - i have tried and tried and for some reason my normal method using dropbox just will not work in this thread with the pics i have of this guitar, which is a bit frustrating!

Looks like it’s had the back of the headstock shaved, any idea why? Btw I wouldn’t call that a headstock ‘break’ when one of the headstock ‘wings’ starts to come away, it’s not uncommon and sometimes can be fixed virtually invisibly by a skilled repairman.

I’m not 100% sure why it was fully shaved, i guess just the luthier who did the fix decided to do that to make it uniform perhaps.

yeah, not a full headstock break but wanted to make sure I drew attention to it and also that is how it was described to me by ATB when I bought it
