I quite like it.

Drums too loud of course and the solo seems... unwise.... but overall it's pretty good.

Probably be better live when we can hear the bass.

Solo started off promising, similar to Whiplash, but goes downhill from there. I'm resigned to the fact Kirk will never again write solos like Ride the Lightning. Everything now is pentantonics or descending chromatic runs, at least it wasn't covered in wah.

That said, I like the song and hope they write a few more in the same vein.

Great song, really like it and it sounds great too. The drums should be loud it's metallllll!! Agree that it's very Kill/NWOBHM, I thought Its Electric more than anything, chorus is very similar.

Kirk needs a slap, I love him but hate him in equal measure. It's pointless dammit!! It is more thought out than the tacked on Hardwired solos though and yes, no wah

It's pretty decent, Jaymz's voice sounds great and it's less than 4 minutes long. The solo is forgettable and the arrangement after it seems a bit of a mess.
I'd love it if they did an album of sub 5-minute songs but I doubt it'll happen. Hardwired was a cool lead single for the last album but then the album dragged on.

I like it, although the guitar solo is horrible (I know we always slag off Kirk, but the guitar solo really is horrible).  And it's only three and a half minutes long... although apparently the album will be 77 minutes long. 

The title made me think of the film by Gaspar Noe, although there probably isn't a connection.

Definitely a bit of A NWOBHM/Diamond Head homage.. 'Lighting the Nations'!? =D But that's pretty much what they started out as so that's ok.

And yeah, I could do without 3/4 of that solo.

And who's this Maxi Turner guy he's singing about?? I don't remember him being in DH

If it was any other band, I wouldn’t have given it a second thought. 

At their age and level of success I guess it’s good they’re at least not relying on constantly remastering their old stuff and created something new, but pretty forgettable
