  • I prefer red, I play behind the nut bends on teles and the flatter profile makes it easier to land my hand quickly :)

I'd have a bit more on the thin strings side so that it hoes on a hanger more easily.

Can't really say which works better without knowing the body shape.

A conventional outline would be easier to sell on, should the need ever arise.

The alternative outline will be more distinctive and/or personal.

    This.

If the guitar body is in any way pointy or "Metal", it might suit an Ibanez RG style headstock.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

@axisus  The body is a telecaster shape, the red is a more conventinal headstock shape and the green is me messing around the shape to make something slightly different

Everyone will probably have a different opinion, so really it's down to what you think you like. Personally I much prefer a standard Tele headstock on a Tele type guitar

@axisus i have no idea if it is to exact fender dimensions as i roughly drew it by hand until it looked similar, my concern is if its too narrow and won't hang properly from a wall hanger, i might play around and make the right side a little fatter like @Sporky said

  • Could you go with the big CBS Strat shape like a Tele deluxe?

@victorludorum i decided to go with a traditionalist tele shape in the end and the build is on a long pause for the time being on account of jamming a sharp object into my knuckle and awaiting surgery tomorrow, i don't think i should do woodwork again haha
