WTB: PRS DGT Goldtop

Looking for a PRS DGT Goldtop in good condition Found one here a couple of days ago but the Seller changed his mind. Let me know if you got one for sale.

I don’t think it’s a DGT on the left, Custom?

As per the article, I took it from this is the early 90s Custom 24 Goldtop. The shade looks different thoough, I think they updated gold top finish over the years.

If you're not fussed about it being a USA one, PRS are just about to release a PRS SE DGT and there's a Gold Top model with Moons supposedly around the £800 mark, but details are sparse at the moment

I am fussed I don't care for anything lower than core line But definitely thanks for the headsup!

Yeah sounds and plays awesome. I had a 2008 too, equally awesome lol. Played a few later ones and honestly don’t think they feel or sound the same. 

Love the cream tip on the trem arm, was thinking of doing that to mine.

@BGG and @PC1971 i notice both of yours have extremly dark chcolate coloured fretboards. I have a first year 2008 with the same and wondered if there is any inference these early ones were Brazilian or not, having owned a vintage Gibson mine looks an feels an aweful lot like it is. Almost ebony like and smooth with hardly visible very tight grain

Well … 
Being a 2009 the nitro was peeling all around the edges and it developed some strange paint blisters too.  Picked up a fair few dings and battle scars through constant gigging and a few accidents. I have really acidic sweat too so don’t think that helps, you can see the wear where my picking hand fingers rest. 

So it was in a bit of a state anyway, nothing to lose so took a hairdryer and some compressed air to it and the laquer cracks were created. 

It’s very marmite to some but I bloody love it.

Love that aged DGT, that’s exactly the type I’m looking for. What years would Nitro finished DGT goldtops be made in?

2008 - 2010 had the thin coat nitro I believe.
