  • What Catatonia are reforming you say.

If you were betting that amount you would hope to make a better return than that, but it is bonkers really.

There was times when I'd have given my right hand to form a
    Union with Cerys Matthews.

Me too though dude Liked her a lot, the music was pretty darned good too.

Definitely had a thing for her but the restraining order said I wasn't allowed to whip it out in her prsecence.

Stop it Johnny, my 90's Eye Candy "Memory Bank" is going out of control with the likes of Lisa Loeb, Sarah Blackwood, Kelli Dayton and Sarah Cracknell (Didn't you once get those in Quality Streets).

  • All quality choices there dude and my list would be very similar.

Add the standing order of Kylie and some britpop laydeez too.

Haven't listened to Lisa Loeb for a while, might remedy that later.

Nope, not into bookies. When governments pump prime property markets then get surprised when they have bubbles gives me enough to make easy money on without betting the house on elections. You see whichever way you vote you will always get politicians. They will always use other people's money to manipulate prices. This will ultimately fail. Prices go up and down and get easy to read. Just buy something scarce and desirable at the depth of each recession. There will be one along soon.

What that guy did was brave, but very reckless. I suspect he has a lot of money and 900,000 has little marginal value to him

I think so. IMO there are far better ways to spend your money.

It depends on whether one can afford it.

If it's money that one has earned and they can function perfectly independently without it then they can throw it away as they see fit, but if one throws money away and then requires third parties to pay for the essentials that they can't afford for them as a result then it's pretty irresponsible, yes.

my dad used to bet on the horses at the weekends. Normally £5 a race for mebbe 4 or 5 races. For him, it was a retirement hobby, he'd spend time researching the form etc. then come the weekend place a few bets. As he wasn't short of a few bob, it was a harmless activity that he gained pleasure from and occasionally made a few quid back.

I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.

That's how it should be done.

Betting money that would significantly change your life if you lose, with such a poor risk/reward radio is just silly.
