WTB: Electronic Drum kit

After an electronic drum kit, have around £200 to spend.

Based in Sheffield but can travel an hour or so to collect.

Thanks for the suggestion @johnnyurq but I played that kit in a store and it felt like a toy really, that's why I'm hoping for a used one so the quality is a bit better

£200 quid and even second hand you not going to get away from a 'toy feel' kit, I had to get an Alesis DM10 and upgrade some of the skins to get away from the 'toy feel'..

look for a Roland HD-1 or the budget end Yamaha's, the feel wont be there but they are decent to bash on and you might be lucky 2nd hand with your budget.

No worries but as said above getting anything decent at that price will be hard.

Their DM 6 USB is less toy like but even 2nd hand will be £250 upwards.

The HD-1 is pretty decent if a wee bit entry level.

To get a decent kit will be well north of £400 even 2nd hand. 

I have had a roland TD-6KV kit and an Alesis DM10X kit which were very good and £350 to £500 will get you a 2nd hand similar kit.

Looking into a Yamaha dtxplorer, seems to be a decent entry level kit and the snare is upgradable, and they seem to go for around £200 used. Any experience with them? 

I looked into the HD-1 but I'm a bit put off by how entry-level rolands are aimed at being portable and therefore don't seem very flexible in terms of layout, particularly the bass/hihat pedals that look to be set

If you find yourself down Birmingham-way I've got a DTXplorer frame and pads (minus the hi-hat pedal, 'brain' and cables) that I've been using as a practise kit - be happy to get £100 for that as I'm not using it at the minute and I'm sure you could score a brain and cables for less than the other ton on that there eBay!
