Connecting Ox Box to Apollo Twin X

I have just ordered an Apollo Twin X to connect up to Ox Box.

I understand that the best way to connect is via the SPDIF optical output using a toslink optical cable.

Does anyone know if i will need to buy a separate lead for this or will it come with the Apollo Twin X?

Appreciate any help...

I think I had to get one seperately.  I needed a long one anyway.  Pretty cheap as I recall

Pretty sure mine didn’t come with one when I had it. Just get an Amazon basic though. Nice and cheep

Is there a tangible benefit from using S/PDIF instead of a couple of simple TS cables?

One less D-A and A-D conversion and hence a latency and maybe quality improvement.
