Both practically mint condition and both still have the scratchplate cellophane. Both cased in non Fender cases. Loads of pics please ask. Am located in Sheffield.

Fender Jagstang in Sonic Blue, CIJ 2002-2004 so second run. In timewarp condition barring a tiny mark on rear of neck. Looking for £1200 plus postage.

Squier Fender Venus XII in black, MIJ 1997, only made for a year. Never seen another mint one. Recently set up by Gatling guitars in Sheffield and plays like a dream. Looking for £1200 plus postage.

Epiphone Elitist Casino 1965, 2014 Terada Japan in excellent condition with original case which has the odd mark but fully functional and with the fabulous purple lining. Looking for £1650

    Absolutely. I understood there was some contractual reason they went the Squier root, something to do with them borrowing the shape from the original builder who made Kurt a guitar that he gave to Courtney? Im guessing Fender didnt want the bad press directly?

    She signed a deal to do a signature guitar which was the Squire Venus. It was for most part a clone of her Mercury guitar. Mercury were (I think) a couple of luthiers so couldn’t make the same numbers as Fender. So yeah, my take is she went were the money was and Fender went with Squire to produce as a)Fender was probably a bit too high end for her demographic and b) they didn’t want any potential negative press falling directly on them. I would love to get one of those Mercury guitars but I imagine they’re super hard to find.

    Mercury was two-man home luthier setup. Gave out guitars to both Kurt and Courtney. The green Mercury she got, in particular, is pretty unreal looking. The company disintegrated and they were found online on the offset forum, I think. Had a good background thread all about it, and one of the original builders talked about building more. 

    I've had two Venus' and sold both. Just feel slightly too small in the body for me, but really great guitars. Always thought the xii looked closer to the Mercury shape than the six string venus, but might just be imagining it. One day I'll just get a trace of a venus and stretch it out slightly and get someone to build it. Love how they look.

    Sold my mint condition black Venus XII about 10 years ago for a lot less. Regretted it since, they're brilliant guitars. 

    One of her Fender custom shop Venus' was up for sale a couple of years back. It was going for 8k:
