Malcolm Young finally forced to quit AC/DC due to ill health

Sad news - Heavy metal veterans AC/DC have confirmed that founding member Malcolm Young has now left the band for good because of illness and is to be replaced full time by his nephew Stevie Young .. won't be the same ... looks like Malcolm is seriously ill .. :-(

That is sad news.  But not unexpected.  After a stroke one's playing days are over.

Guess I hope that Malcolm Young has enough cognitive awareness to be able to enjoy his remaining years.

It really depends on what type of stroke he's had and how severe it was. Some cause only physical problems, so he'll still be totally compus mentis but have maybe a very weak or frozen arm. Others cause loss of speech, mental confusion or more severe problems. Either way it must have been a tough decision for the rest of the band to continue without a founder member.

My favourite band - it's a cruel c#nt of a world at times.... good that they're doing another lap though so looking forward to checking out Malcolm's nephew. No pressure there - big boots to fill
