NPD - first home build in about a year

Greetings folks,
Before I tackle 3 home builds that plainly arent working (Klon, Causality Phaser, EQD Sea Machine) and need re-doing, I figured Id finish off a TS808 Id started on veroboard using a layout including a diode clip switch. The layout was found on the tagboardeffects site.
Enclosure sanded then nitro'd yellow then masked off and sprayed black. Final top coats of matt clear nitro.

All snug with tape to prevent grounding :

The pedal sounda good, not far off a clone i borrowed from a mate. I will change the 1n4148 for a different diode pair on the switch as the volume drops significantly when engaged. Suggestions for an alternative? Ge pair? Different colour LED's?

Anyway, comments and critique very welcome!

Adam

Looks great - worth experimenting with the clipping diode pairs to see what you prefer.
Ge might be softer, or maybe try the BAT41's like in the Zendrive.
Jack Orman has some interesting articles online which include using MOSFET pairs (based on Araon Nelsons earlier design ) with just the diode junction being used , then in series with some Ge diodes( for some slightly different clipping sounds. ) I think I tried that many years ago in a Shaka Braddah build of his design and liked it a lot.
