Fretwork tape recommendations for maple neck.

What's Hot
Hi can anyone recommend a brand if tape suitable for fretwork when dressing the frets on a maple neck.

I have used some frog tape in the past and lifted it a couple of timea on a cloth to remove some of the stickiness  but still ends up pulling some lacquer off..
Been using metal guards which work but alot of effort making sure to avoid the fingerboard.

Thanks

  • Northwest guitars sell a very low tack masking tape. I tend to use that one on maple boards.

Frog tape low tack plus wrap the tape around your forearm to pick a bit of grease up and reduce the tack even more before taping the guitar
