Oof, this is immense. Best version I've heard. Even the Eagles coach was crying. Nice ad for Fender too.

  • He's pretty much unbeatable at his thing. Nice to see someone sing it pretty straight.

Jack Black did it proper justice a few years back too (not Super Bowl)

Makes our National Anthem (which doesnt mention the country at all, just about some dude reigning over us and god looking after him) seem poor. I mean what does this have to do with national pride??

    God save our gracious King!
    Long live our noble King!
    God save the King!
    Send him victorious,
    Happy and glorious,
    Long to reign over us,
    God save the King.

    Thy choicest gifts in store
On him be pleased to pour,
    Long may he reign.
    May he defend our laws,
    And ever give us cause,
To sing with heart and voice,
    God save the King.

    Karma......

  • @mrkb to be fair, the UK anthem is basically about obedience, whereas the the US one is about blowing shit up, so they're both on-brand...

Good god. How times have changed. In the 60s Hendrix and Clapton were using Marshall stacks...

Here we are in 2023...  =)
