FS Rare FRYE Model One, single HB, USA-made, one of 50, LP JR style, Epi Coronet shape, Spruce body!

There were only 50 of these brilliant Frye Model One guitars made, sold through a guitar shop in the Chicago area, maybe around 12-14 years ago. Handmade in the USA. Water Becker used a few of these with Steely Dan, and I bought his black one at auction. I liked it so much I then bought this off-white one to gig with, but I've stopped gigging for the foreseeable.
It has an ultra lightweight solid Spruce body (spruce, yes!) and the neck is mahogany also painted white. It sustains like the best LP Jr. and has a single Frye PAF-style HB at the bridge, original to the guitar, that sounds great.
Body shape is just like a slab 1959 Epi Coronet, so it is a single pickup rock and blues machine. The vintage style medium profile neck is comfortable and the fretwork and action is perfect. A great guitar, and quite rare.
A few knocks along the bottom edge (see pics) and the perspex truss rod cover/logo has a couple of chips, no other issues. It is a very singing and expressive guitar with great dynamics and lovely to play, and being spruce, SO light!
Gig bag supplied and will be shipped bubble wrapped in a box or you could try it out in the North East, and carry it home. Bargain £1650 inc. shipping.
