Are Rammstein good or what

Although I've known the song Song Du Hast for quite a while I never dove into their catalog.
As a Native German/English speaker I can fortuntaly understand the lyrics.
By god do they have deep meaning.
And their Videos are a work of art.

Then you of course get the song and Video. Dicke Titten. Fab (I grew up in Bavaria and yes they bring back mammaries I mean memories)

Loved Rammstein for over 20 years now - my ex girlfriend got me into them around the time Mutter was launched.

Managed to see them set fire to Brixton Academy

Very clever band and creative (albeit a bit dark or macabre) with their subject matter

seen them on tour twice in the last 4 years. Hands down the best band i have ever seen. love their music, love their videos but their live act is beyond special... even if you weren't a fan of the music i think you could be impressed

I used to use a Rammstein song to teach German modal verbs to kids. I got some interesting glances from teachers passing by in the corridor.

Agreed! I'm also a German speaker though not native but yes they create some fantastic work. If you haven't already, find the video for Keine Lust. Wow, the work that went into the body suits!

I've been to almost every Download festival since 2006....they're easily in the top 3 acts I've seen there over all those years of metal/rock titans

@RickLucas ; Oh really? Which one? My A-level teacher lent me a Grönemeyer album, Chaos; I was just about up to understanding the lyrics at the time.

If one has the visuals, one needn't understand the lyrics to become a huge fan IMHO. Sadly, I can't face the crowds (though I know it'd be worth it).

No, they're alright really.  Not quite my cup of tea, I always find their image and videos kind of grotesque, but they make a good noise.

They're not bad, def got a few bangers but not super consistent imo.

Seen them both times they've played Download.  But you don't get the full show.  Seeing a Rammstein gig as opposed to a festival gig is something else again.
