I really like the Smooth music ,it would work great as instrumentals but even with vocals 
 It’s very nice on the ears  lovin all those synth sounds like electric pianos , the muted plucked guitar   etc

I like that, it sounds like it could be from now, sort of hipster retro cool pop, artists like Pizzicato 5 and Feist have similar vibes on some tracks.

Japan has alot of interesting takes on Western sounding pop, I have a Japanese Garage Punk compilation that is pretty bananas.
