Sequencer/sampler and midi footswitch?

Looking at adding some layers to the acoustic duo I do. I'd like to have prerecorded parts which I can trigger using my feet, so maybe a bass line or chords. I'm happy to play via a click track and live looping prob wouldn't work for me so looking at other options.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Guessing no answers to this as it’s quite difficult to solve this issue.
If you run a backing track you need to start at the beginning of the song .
would it be easier to layer via a guitar pedal maybe one of the keyboard ones - electro harmonix synth machines?

i had a wedding duo/trio with partial backing tracks I made.. i’d shift between bass, guitar or keys depending on tune. Sounded very good.. until you lost your place in the song
