Something strange happening with adverts

For the past day or two I’ve been getting adverts blotting out parts of the forum discussions, appearing in various positions on a page. It’s happening on my iPad Pro and on my Android mobile. Any idea what’s causing it? Is anyone else getting similar?

That's...very odd. It's like you've got an old version of the stylesheet.

Can you clear your cache and try again?

Thanks DS. I’ll try that later this morning. Strange though that it’s affecting my iPad and my Android phone. I’ll clear the cache on both.

OK, Safari cache cleared on the iPad and Chrome cache cleared on the mobile. The problem has gone away. Thanks @digitalscream. I’ll have to make a point of clearing the cache more often.

How very odd. Glad it's worked, but that version of the stylesheet should never have made it to your device - unless I made a serious mistake, it should only ever have been on the test server!

In any case, apologies for the screwup. I'll be more careful in future

Cleared my cache on the site a few mins ago and the ads now disappeared thankfully……first noticed them a few days ago but mine showed quite opaque so wasn’t a huge issue….though annoying.

Hah…..spoke too soon. All back again and now more annoying. It only seems to be an issue since updating the OS to 16.4 on my iPad.

Any suggestions?

All I can suggest is...wait a bit. I've been caught in this trap before at work - spent a whole week tracking down a problem on iOS and fixing it, only for Apple to patch the bug they introduced a few days later.

Is there any option to use another browser, temporarily?

Since iOS 16.4 today, ads now appear half way up (or down) each screen, in the middle of posts

Install 16.4.1 which seems to sort it out. Hopefully......

Otherwise it's clearing the Safari cache every few days.

The cache thingy has nit worked  will try the iOS install
