I had this on cassette and played it endlessly in my car back in the day. Took it to the charity shop along with a bunch of other stuff about 10 years ago. Got back in the car to drive home, turned the ignition and nightswimming was playing on the radio...

I haven’t listened to this in years.. Having been educated by my brother, and adopting his favourites as my favourites, REM was the first band that I discovered myself.. and they became my favourite ‘new’ band..
 they had an incredible run of albums where the next one improved on the previous one..

Didn't really appreciate this song when it came out... now I love it. Simple, simple chords but so effective....really powerful

I've probably *never* actively listened to this album.  It's been on as background noise, or "listened" to it via an mp3 player on a commuting train journey, but can't remember properly listening to it.
