    I just read the retrospective about her on the beeb news.  Hadn't realised she opened her first shop ion 1955!

    Andrew Loog Oldham worked for Mary as a young kid, as well as Ronnie Scotts and Joe Meek, as he was grooming his way to managing The Stones - Mary certainly created a buzz back in the 50's and 60's - I bet she could tell a good story or two - RIP

    As a young man at the time, I have to thank Mary Quant for promoting the mini skirt...
    She was a genuine marketing & design genius & did wonders in advancing women in businesses. RIP.

    She was, indeed, the 60s. She had a massive influence still felt today.  Although I never really liked that hairstyle, or that hat, she was so, simply, new.
    Save a cow.  Eat a vegetarian.
