EHX Soul Food - Problem?

So, i bought a EHX Soul food, which I have to say is a fab pedal, however when engaged ir produces a light ticking. As I stack this pedal with a tone burst (clean boost) it's causing me a problem as the tone burst boosts this underlying noise.

Is this an inbuilt problem with the soul food or do I have a dodgy one?

Is it sharing a power supply with any other pedals?

Often ODs pick up clock noise from mod pedals etc.

Yes, I am using a T-rex chameleon, but have the OD from one of it's isolated loops

Chain is:

Morley Power Wah/Volume - TSU 3 - Moor ELEC lady - EHX Soul Food - Empress Tremolo - DOD Phaser - Messa Tone Burst.

Anything I can do to help? I tried replacnig the soul food with a moore Green mile and noise went away, but I don^t like the pedal as much...

Could be the Elec Lady?

Try taking mod pedals off the board and seeing which one (if any) cures it.

The original Klons used to have that issue with delay pedals.... it's to do with the charge pump. Seperate power supplies is what's been recommended in the past (if you've not got that already).

hmm, interesting. I know it's not the elec lady as the noise was there before I added it to the board.  Will try a seperate PS.
