The Pop Group were evolutionary/revolutionary as were a load of other On-U bands. RIP.

The Pop Group and on-u-sound collective were massively important in the 80's and early 90s. Opening creative doors and keeping music interesting. Hugely influential - without them so many musical avenues wouldn't exist.

Totally agree. That hard, dub-focused, political, sample-heavy thing that ON-U did was hugely influential on a good portion of the industrial music of that period, and also laid a lot of the groundwork that ultimately allowed the whole Bristol/triphop thing to flourish as it did.
