It's not a joke to me. I've made too much of an emotional investment to even raise a wry smile at this debacle. At one point I was going to hop on a train to Margate to stage an intervention, FFS.

@Emp_Fab, I would be more concerned at the fixings the wall bracket has than the screws that fit into the TV back.  Out TV is about "average weight" - two Rawlbolts secure the bracket to the wall and four small screws attach the other end of the adjustable bracket to the TV.  At least I think that is how I fitted it some years ago.  It is not the kind of thing I pull out to see how I did it [statement open to misinterpretation but I will risk that].
