Excellent watches at a reasonable price.

I had the 656 and still have the 356.

Sinn use generic ETA movements, in your case the 2824-2 which are good quality and you'll always find spares.

    Come highly recommended from me.
    :)

    Here's my 356...

Where's the movement made? Germany, or the far east?

Yeah I REALLY like the 356 even the 103 but it's just that bit too close in price to a seamaster that I'd probably go for that unless I see a preowned one .

The 656 has better antimagnetics and fully enclosed back which I'd be very happy with too .

Did you find it hard wearing enough. I'm planing it to be my everyday?

As far as I know it s all TOP grade eta movement.

Glad too see some love for them.

Ref the Rolex comment. even if I had the money there are many better watch makers out there . Submariner is the only model I'd even look at.

anyone else have any other experiences with sinn?

  • Ps. @Neil what strap are you using . These seem to suit nearly everything. From nato , leather to metal.

Did you find the 356 a leap up from the 656 ?

Just a Sinn leather it came on, I bought it some years ago from a bloke who used stopped being a  Sinn dealer, I paid around £350.

    Leap up?

No not really it's just a chronograph GMT (Valjoux) versus a time only.

All Sinn watches are excellent VFM.

     Some answers:

TBH the Seamasters are quite a jump up from the Sinns but they are quite dear now. I have a couple of them from when they were cheaper.

Sinn are a hard wearing watch (as hard as any mech watch can be) and great for everyday wear.

Top grade ETA are very good, adjusted to 5 positions although they are not chronometer tested.

Rolex?  Fine watches with totally in house movements. I've got some of those too.

They are fine watches but everybody has a different budget.

There are very good quality watches at many price points now rather like guitars.
    ;)

Here's a couple of mine to be going on with, Sea Dweller and Sub.
