Missing out by a day

Honestly... some weeks ago I played this amazing guitar. 
Next day I rocked in again with one of mine so could do a bit of an A vs B only to find out it sold an hour before. 

Pretty much the exact same thing happened the other day. I played this thing and thought "wow" but best to sleep on it... and now it's gone. 

Who is this phantom person that is stalking my potential purchases?

"sleep on it" shows a lack of commitment, the guitar knows this and flirts with someone else.

There's nothing Ive missed out on by a day.

Mate, see it, try it, if "wow", buy it before someone else does.

Always buy there and then, if you can.

Missed out on something that I had been chasing for two years as it was in Wales and I couldn’t face a 10 hour round trip or risk sending money into the unknown.

I've been looking at new Larrivees and the prices are starting to shoot up BIG TIME. I guess (imo) they deserve it but a shame as I liked picking them up for less.

Beautiful walnut OM on marketplace right now but again it’s just too far for me to go and try it out. There was an OM02 on gumtree a fortnight ago for £600 which I missed out on.

A guy on Larrivee forum got that then I saw put it up for £1k a week later iirc

I think you'll find that's true of all US brands now, have you  checked out the price hikes on Martin's or  Collings recently?

It's actually crazy and does have me wondering if I should "buy local" - Brook, Auden (I know not exactly local), European brands... 

£5k+ for some American stuff now. My recent Larrivee was a bit over 2k but some news ones over 3k? Prices getting crazy

Hell, was just on GG and multiple Martin & Lowden etc now over £7k lol

I'm so glad I don't have expensive tastes. I'd probably push the boat out,if able,for a good quality Yamaha or similar. I don't care too much (environmental issues excepted) if it is Chinese made either.
